He has authored ground-breaking articles for the American Heart Journal and the New York State Journal of Medicine, as well as written the books WHEN TO SAY NO TO SURGERY and CANCER PREVENTION MADE EASY.
Joyce Schneider is a Heart Smart and Diabetes Recipe cook, who’s spent decades getting it better with each new finding in Nutrition, Cardiology, and Diabetes Research. In addition she has written DARKNESS FALLS and STRYKER'S CHILDREN, both thrillers, and FLORA TRISTAN, a biography for young adults.
We used to be the chocoholic and the Cardiologist. HA! See any problem there? There used to be, well, a small one.
Poor Bob loves sweets too, & my idea of fun used to be draggin' him on raids down CVS's candy aisle. "Nooo!" he'd plead (faintly), but when we got home with our embarrassingly bulging plastic bag, he'd be the disciplined one, begging me to stop chowin' because he knew. He was a cardiologist, for Pete's sake. He'd seen the angiograms and the getting-worse coronary disease, high blood pressure & cholesterol, diabetes...okay, enuff.
But I did like to cook. (Just 2-3 times a week, I make lots & freeze.) Over the years, especially during my Weight Gain Panic, Bob coached on every new finding in Nutrition and Cardiology ("just olive & canola oil, lose the red meat, look how much sugar’s in this ketchup!"). I became an eager inventor of healthier recipes for still-yummy eats, with only occasional howls of "I WANT FUDGE!"
Until we heard about the miracle new cocoa findings. Excited, I researched, integrated cocoa big time, & became fascinated with new low carb, low fat food products coming out in response to this country's obesity epidemic. How to put all these together? Prepare food in a whole new way? I worked away on that, developing new SUBSTITUTE THIS FOR THAT recipes for all meals and snacks. I'll show you my NEW WAYS TO PREPARE FOOD that will get you thin & healthy permanently, with greater ease & delight than you ever dreamed possible.
